61 out of 71 of our former graduate students have kept Wash U updated on their careers and all are using their skills as professionals:

• 16 are college or university professors
• 9 are industry scientists (including 1 Chief Executive Officer, 1 company President, 2 Vice-Presidents)
• 9 are staff scientists in Academic Institutes (including 1 at NIH, 2 Botanical Garden Curators)
• 4 are government scientists (2 with the Food and Drug Administration, 1 with the USDA, 1 Science Liaison for the Embassy of Chile)
• 1 works in scientific publishing
• 1 is a scientific patent agent
• 21 are postdoctoral fellows
