"Nothing in Biology Makes Sense Except in the Light of Evolution"

-- Theodosius Dobzhansky

I am generally interested in population genetics/genomics, biogeography, phylogenetics and molecular evolution in plants. Some specific questions attract me including identifying the spatial pattern of genetic variation among and within populations, tracing the historical and ecological causing factors which lead to such variation pattern, reconstructing the past phylogenetic and demographic histories, identifying genes/traits that are potentially under natural selection and how they might related to the adaptive evolution in plants. More broadly, I am also interested in morphometrics, evo-devo, statistics and a few programming languages.
