My research involves determining the role that the plant hormone, auxin (indole acetic acid, IAA) plays during Pseudomonas syringae infection and how the phytotoxin coronatine may be influencing IAA levels during infection. I am also investigating how a citric acid cycle enzyme, malate quinone oxidoreductase, is required for Pseudomonas syringae virulence.
