I am a Junior at WashU and I joined the Chase Lab my freshman year, Fall 2006.
I am broadly interested in testing and expanding our current understanding of community ecology using theoretical and empirical techniques.
I am currently working on two projects in collaboration with Dr. Chase and his colleagues.
One study includes measuring and identifying any cross-generation effects of amphibian larvae presence or absence
(in pond mesocosms) on subsequent adult oviposition behavior and larvae success, as well as measuring community-level responses.
With the second project I am trying to identify any patterns that arise by integrating habitat complexity and alternative resources
into intraguild predation interactions in aquatic food webs.
In the near future I hope to develop theory that will combine size-structured population
dynamics with predator-prey dynamics in order to investigate patterns of community composition and assembly.
